Samsung Galaxy S8 is the flagship phone of Samsung for 2017. The best thing about Galaxy S series phones are it usually introduces new innovative features every year. Last year Galaxy S7 and S7 edge came with Gear VR option. Which is a completely new dimension to smartphone experience. Galaxy S8 will also support Gear VR but it is introducing some new features and exclusive new design as well.
Speaking of design, 2 years ago in 2015, Samsung introduced the stylish curved edge design with Samsung Galaxy S6 edge. Now, they have decided to completely take away the edges. Both on the left and right side, it is only glass and no metal frame at all. The 5.8 inch display looks even bigger because of this change and the screen to body ratio has been increased to 83.6% which is basically allowing to carry a bigger screen phone in your pocket.
Now, lets come to the new features. Samsung Galaxy S8 is coming with Iris scanner for the first time in a smartphone. This sensor is capable of scanning and recognising eyes to unlock the phone. The second new feature is "Samsung DeX". This software will allow you to connect your phone to any regular monitor and turn it to an android desktop computer. So, with this possibility, you can play temple run in your phone and see it in a much bigger screen at the same time (for example). Or watch a movie in YouTube with large viewing experience without any desktop or laptop computer at home but just via a monitor which costs much less. But you can't play or install windows games or software in your phone this way as the OS will stay android. These were the two main innovative features for this year.
Among other features there are the new Gorilla Glass 5 protection in front and back, iPhone-like 3D touch, 12 + 8 MP super high quality camera with tons of features, Ultra HD video recording, 64 GB ROM, 4 GB RAM and so on.
